Brain-Body Balance

When we ignore our brain or our body, we easily enter a state of imbalance.  Dr. Robert Scaer, Neurologist and author of 8 Keys to Brain-Body Balance, notes “The relative health of the brain depends on the health of the body, and vice versa.  If trauma has adversely affected either one, you’ve got to find a means of healing that incorporates both brain and body.  You can’t fix one without fixing the other.” (110)  Simple ways to keep the brain healthy are to engage it in new and novel experiences, use it to problem solve, feed it healthy fats, don’t try to problem solve when you are hungry or tired.  What one thing will YOU do today to exercise your brain and body?
